College description: The Drexel University Physician Assistant Program provides graduates with a Master of Health Science degree. After successful completion of the program, graduates are eligible to take the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE). College description: Oklahoma City University (OCU) has embarked on a major initiative to impact the delivery of health care in Oklahoma through the development of a new Physician Assistant (PA) Program. PAs have repeatedly demonstrated their value as competent, flexible and economically prudent medical practitioners in today’s society. With Oklahoma ranking near the bottom of states in access to primary care and in metrics of health status, a more robust PA workforce is a vital need for US citizens.

Master of Physician Assistant Medicine Degree Admissions

College description: Physician assistants (PAs) are nationally certified and licensed medical professionals who work on health care teams with physicians and other providers. The PA profession has been named by top media outlets, including Forbes and USA Today, as one of the most promising jobs in America. The University of Tampa’s graduate-level physician assistant program leads to a Master of Physician Assistant Medicine (MPAM) degree. The program follows the traditional medical model of training, providing in-depth analysis of disease processes, diagnosis and treatment. Students engage in full-time study for seven semesters, earning their degree in 27 months.

The admission process is highly selective. Applicants are considered for an interview if they meet the minimum GPA requirements (3.0 prerequisite and 3.0 last 60 credit hours GPA).

1. Timeline:(i)ASPA application opens April 25, 2019, and closes Sept. 1, 2019.

(ii)Completed applications are due Sept. 1 and must be verified by Oct. 1. We highly encourage interested applicants to apply early to ensure faculty review.

(iii)A supplemental application is required. There is no supplemental application fee. The supplemental application questions are included in the CASPA application.

2. Letters of Reference:

(i)Submit three letters of recommendation from faculty, coaches, employers, patients or health care providers with whom the applicant has a shadow or work history. The program will only evaluate the first three letters submitted if you submit more than three letters with your application.

Physician Assistant Studies Requirements

College description: The MS in Physician Assistant Studies from Bay Path University is an intensive, accelerated degree program that combines on-campus classroom and laboratory work with offsite clinical experience. Students gain the knowledge and skills necessary for evaluating, monitoring, diagnosing, treating, and counseling patients across their lifespan. This degree will prepare the students to work in primary care, surgery, emergency medicine, and medical and surgical sub-specialties.

The Bay Path University Physician Assistant Program is a participating member of the Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants (CASPA). All applications must be submitted online, directly to CASPA. Our CASPA admissions cycle begins in mid-April each year with a deadline of October 1st. The CASPA application must be VERIFIED by October 1st.

Applicants are required to complete and submit a supplemental application. The supplemental application fee is $60. The deadline for completing the supplemental application is also October 1st.

An acceptance must be accompanied by a non-refundable $750.00 tuition deposit in order to hold the applicant's place in the class.

The Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Bay Path has the following admission requirements:

1. All prerequisite courses must be completed within 10 years of matriculation at a regionally accredited U.S. institution with a grade of “C” or better with a prerequisite GPA of 3.0 or higher
